Luncheon Invitation with Speaker:                          Steven Koskei, Engineer at Xcel Energy

The High Plains Chapter of the Southwest Section of the Air and Waste Management Association would like to invite everyone to attend our May 7, 2015 luncheon/meeting in Amarillo.  Steven Koskei, Engineer at Xcel Energy, will have a presentation where he discusses his responsibilities at Xcel Energy’s Harrington Station Electric Generating Plant.  The meeting offers an excellent venue to learn about areas in the electric power industry and specifically a coal power plant.

Steve is a 2004 graduate of Texas Tech University with B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a 2008 graduate of West Texas A&M University with a M.S. in Environmental Science. Steve joined Xcel Energy in 2009 as an Air Quality Control Systems (AQCS) Engineer for Tolk Station in Muleshoe, TX, where he was responsible for the maintenance and operation of 2 baghouses.  Mr. Koskei had the opportunity to transfer to Harrington Station near Amarillo in 2012 in the same capacity.  At Harrington Station, Steve is also responsible for the planning, development and coordination of operation, maintenance and overhaul projects including administering project controls not limited to: budgetary, scheduling, inspections, testing, contractor oversight and overall project management.
